A food love story in Mexico City.
Good food is like a warm embrace. The combination of great flavours, thoughtful menus, and the intentional bringing together of cultures through love is like those grandparent hugs that feel like they last forever.
I believe that experiences and people come into our lives for very specific lessons so when I was visiting Mexico City many years ago, it was no chance encounter to have had the blessing of being taken care of by sweetheart and chef extraordinaire Norma Listman. She opened up her heart and her floral filled home and introduced me not only to her charming Mexico City life but also to a spectacular food project, Masala Y Maiz, co-founded with her partner Saqib, which brings together the flavours of Mexican, Indian and South African cuisine.
